Do I need this?
Most Audi models from 2017 onwards came with factory-fitted Apple CarPlay. This product is designed for earlier vehicles that do not have CarPlay built in. If your Audi already has factory CarPlay, this product is not required.

Android Users
Some Android devices may not support wireless Android Auto reliably. A wired USB connection may be recommended depending on your device. Contact us before purchase to confirm Android compatibility with your phone.
Installation
This product requires professional installation. It is not a plug-and-play accessory. Fitting involves accessing the factory MMI or MIB media unit, typically located in the glovebox, and connecting the module to the factory wiring harness.
Complimentary installation — VIC, QLD and WA only
Once your order is placed, our team will be in touch to arrange installation with your closest partner workshop. Installation is carried out at the workshop location and is not a mobile service.
All other states
Customers outside VIC, QLD and WA arranging their own installation should ensure a qualified auto electrician or workshop experienced with Audi MMI/MIB systems is engaged prior to ordering. Installation guidance, remote support and assistance is not provided for self-installed units.
Warranty
This product is covered by a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects.
All warranty claims require:
- A written description of the fault or defect
- A diagnosis report or job card from a professional workshop confirming the issue
Warranty claims cannot be assessed without workshop documentation. Units returned without professional diagnosis will not be accepted.

My Audi already has CarPlay. Do I need this?
No. If your vehicle already has factory Apple CarPlay, this product is not required.
Does this replace my original Audi screen?
No. This module works with your existing factory screen. Nothing is replaced.
Will I keep my factory MMI controls?
Yes. Steering wheel controls and factory MMI buttons continue to function as normal.
Will my factory reverse camera still work?
Yes, where supported by the vehicle. Reverse camera and parking sensor functionality is retained on compatible setups.
Is this plug and play?
No. Professional installation is required. This is not a basic accessory and should be fitted by a qualified auto electrician or workshop experienced with Audi MMI/MIB systems.
What if I am outside VIC, QLD or WA?
You are welcome to purchase the product and arrange your own installation through a qualified workshop. Installation guidance, remote support and assistance is not provided for self-installed units.
Does complimentary installation mean mobile installation?
No. Complimentary installation is carried out at our partner workshop location only. It is not a mobile service.
Can I use Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze on my Virtual Cockpit?
No. Navigation apps appear on the central radio screen only. They will not display on the Virtual Cockpit or Active Info Display.
Will it make my factory screen a touchscreen?
No. Your original screen remains unchanged. You control CarPlay and Android Auto using the Audi rotary dial and factory buttons.
Can I control volume and tracks using my steering wheel?
Yes. Volume, skip track and other media functions remain accessible via the factory steering wheel and radio controls.
How do I arrange installation after I order?
Once your order is placed, our team will contact you directly to arrange installation with your closest partner workshop in VIC, QLD or WA. Installation is carried out at the workshop location — it is not a mobile service.
Does it support both iPhone and Android?
Yes. It supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Some Android phones may work better via a wired connection depending on device compatibility. Contact us before purchase to confirm Android compatibility with your phone.
Returns and Compatibility
VW Central will not accept change of mind returns once the product has been opened or installed.
This product is only compatible with the Audi A3 / S3 / RS3 8V (2012–2019), Audi A6 / A7 (2016–2017) and Audi Q7 (2016–2017). Where compatibility was not confirmed with us before purchase, returns based on incompatibility will not be accepted.
All warranty claims require a diagnosis report or job card from a professional workshop. Units returned without documentation will not be accepted.
