⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Much more useful than I expected
I originally bought the OBDeleven V3 Pro Pack mainly to have better access to diagnostics and coding on my VW Tiguan, but it has turned out to be one of the most useful tools I have bought for the car.
My Tiguan recently went through an accident repair, and afterwards I wanted to be able to keep a closer eye on the vehicle myself rather than simply relying on someone telling me that all the fault codes had been cleared.
Since getting OBDeleven, I have been able to perform complete scans of the car, investigate individual control modules and make several coding and adaptation changes myself, particularly to some of the lighting and convenience settings. I really like that you can make a backup before changing anything, which gives you some confidence when experimenting.
It has also already helped me find a genuine fault. During a scan I discovered an air-conditioning fault for the Air Quality Sensor (B10AF04). There was no obvious major problem with the car, so without OBDeleven I probably would never have known the fault was stored. I was able to identify the sensor involved, research the problem and have now ordered a replacement air quality sensor to fix it properly rather than simply clearing the code and hoping it stays away.
For me, that is where OBDeleven really proves its value. It isn’t just about changing settings or using One-Click Apps. It gives an owner a much better understanding of what is actually happening with the car.
The V3 works very well with my iPhone, connects quickly and gives access to an impressive amount of information. The PRO features are particularly worthwhile if you are comfortable going beyond basic fault scanning and want to explore coding and adaptations.
I have already used it far more than I expected, and considering what a single diagnostic visit to a workshop can cost, I think it is excellent value for anyone who owns a VW Group vehicle and likes to understand and maintain their own car.
Definitely recommended.
