At CTS Turbo we are proud to announce our new air intake system for the MK5 R32. The OEM air scoop works in conjunction with our sealed airbox to seamlesly force cold air into our air intake system. Air then flows through our high flow cone air filter, which utilizes an inverted cone design for maximum engine breathing. Our high quality silicones fit seamlessly with the OEM MAF flange allowing for smooth entry of cold air into the the engine providing peak power gains ranging from 9-15HP. All of the components included in the CTS air intake system work flawlessly together to provide increased horsepower and torque throughout the entire power band and an aggressive race inspired sound.

DESIGN DETAILS

IE engineers set out to produce the highest performing cold air intake that looks great and fits like a factory installed part in your A4. The latest in computer design and 3D scanning technology were employed during the development process for a perfect fit and maximum performance. The final product resulted in the greatest performing and best-looking intake available.

HIGH-FLOW VELOCITY STACK

Delivering cold air to your engine is a must for making power. The velocity stack efficiently channels air as quickly as possible into the intake system. The velocity also functions as a solid mount for the air filter which means no intake pipes rattling on heat shields.

CUSTOM HEAT SHIELD

IE uses a three piece heat shield which performs and looks great. It effectively channels cold air from the front of the car to the massive performance filter. Furthermore, it eliminates the induction of hot air found in other locations of the engine bay. A second heat shield is mounted above the turbocharger to further protect against power robbing heat off the exhaust and turbo.

PERFECT FITMENT

This Intake fits B9 Audi A4 and A5 without any modification or installation hassles. The install process is simple and can be done quickly with basic tools. The fact that IE intake utilizes the factory airbox mounts ensures a perfect and hassle free fit. Additionally, the stock rubber mounts allow for engine movement which keeps intake components from getting damaged.

CLASSY AND CLEAN APPEARANCE

Wrinkle black powder coated velocity stack and heat shields result in a sleek and sporty appearance in any engine bay. As a final touch, all IE heat shields are finished with a classy, laser etched, stainless steel IE logo badge.

DYNO POWER RESULTS

The following power result data was collected on our in-house Dynapack hub dyno. Dyno chart is as tested at 4500 feet altitude with SAE corrected numbers. Before and after results are direct back-to-back comparisons on a full bolt-on stage 2 B9 A4 2.0T engine. The only change made to the vehicle between testing is the swap from a stock intake with a new clean air filter to the IE Cold Air Intake Kit. Dyno power results are approximate and may vary from car to car.

This intake does not fit cars that have a MAF housing/sensor.

IE cone filters are specifically designed for high-flow and perfect fitment to the integrated velocity stack found on most IE cold air intake kits. This is a dry filter that can be oiled, however, we do not recommend air filter oiling on turbocharged or forced induction vehicles. The filter can be cleaned and re-used many times. If you find it difficult to clean your filter or find it severy stained, it may be time to replace the filter element. This is a direct replacement filter ready to keep your car on the road and performing at its best. Includes new filter clamp.

Product Details The ECS Billet Aluminum Manifold Port Boost Tap Kit conveniently adds three boost / vacuum ports to your Gen3 engine for any of your specific needs. Located on the left side of the intake manifold within the unused side intake port, this location provides a strong pneumatic signal and allows for an installation. Through multiple design revisions and product testing, our team of engineers found that other methods of acquiring a manifold signal, such as spacing the MAP / IAT sensor on top of the intake manifold, lead to skewed data being transmitted to the ECU. We found that intake air temperatures were reading lower (15-20° F at WOT), ignition timing was off (as much as -5°) and air /fuel ratio was richer (+1.0 point by 5,000 RPM). This directly translated into engine power dropping by as much as 6 WHP on an untuned vehicle! You can be certain that all critical data is not affected and your engine's ECU has all of its valuable information to properly adjust timing and fuel with our leading edge design! The Integrated Engineering MK5/MK6 FDS intercooler system was built from the ground up to offer the ultimate in performance for your vehicle. When increasing the power output of your engine it is extremely important to ensure it has the proper cooling to match. It packs a very large intercooler core into the space available, a full 54% larger than the OEM core. This large core delivers cool air to the engine under all circumstances, increasing power and torque and simultaneously reducing heat soak.

The Forge Motorsport Turbo Blankets are designed to isolate the radiant heat produced by the turbocharger. Designed by the Forge development team for the EA888 TSI vehicles, the Forge turbo blanket is designed to assist in the protection and prolonged life of the engine components.

The unique design will assist in reducing turbo lag and produce cooler air intake temperatures, The Forge turbo blanket will lose its flexibility over the first few heat cycles as the material cures, so once fitted it should not be routinely removed as you will likely damage the blanket.

Design innovation keeps the heat of the exhaust gases contained within the hot side of the turbocharger, away from the cool side and the intake path. More oxygen per unit volume reaches the engine, therefore giving more power. This product also fits the vehicles with the following turbochargers:
