Most commonly used to eliminate battery drain issues in Pre-2009 model Volkswagen cars when upgrading the radio to a later model such as the RNS510, RCD510 ,RCD330, RCD340 etc.
The Canbus Gateway Module, will require coding using software such as VCDS or OBDII.
