Turbosmart’s latest Kompact valve kit has been developed as a direct plug-and-play solution for the new C63 AMG.

Despite its high-performance intentions, the Mercedes’ standard bypass valves are plastic units that bleed boost and struggle to cope with the pressure, particularly in tuned vehicles. 

Turbosmart’s Kompact kit for the C63 comes with two billet aluminium valves that are a direct fit replacement for the factory diverter valves.

The Kompact holds boost in better than the factory valves, and can never be overcome by boost. The result is more efficient performance from the factory turbochargers, as well as the crisp sound of a piston-style BOV.

For those who want blow-off valve sound, the Dual Port both vents-to-atmosphere as well as recirculates air, while the Plumb Back is 100% recirculating for quiet, OEM-style operation. 

Unlike the factory valves, the Turbosmart replacement kit is mechanically controlled by manifold pressure, meaning the valves open when you want them to, not when a computer decides they should.

KIT DETAILS

This complete filter kit uses a 3 step approach to combat harsh climates. The filter has been increased from a 6 pleat construction to 8 pleats to increase cotton density. The cotton pleats are then treated with a penetrating filter oil to further catch and trap particulates. As a final measure, a pre-filter sock adds a final layer of protection over the filter. Together, these 3 barriers offer superior filtration for your intake system over our standard performance air filter.

RECHARGING

As the air filter does its job of effectively catching more particulates, eventually it will have to be cleaned and maintained. We recommend washing your cotton filter in water with a little Dawn dish soap, rinsing thoroughly, and allowing it to completely air dry. To replace the oil, any off-the-shelf filter oil kit from your local auto parts supply chain can be used. Do not over-oil the filter, a little goes a long way.

Turbosmart's new Kompact Shortie Blow-Off Valve for VAG 2.0 TSI engines takes performance to the next level. These valves are a high performance replacement for the standard diverter valve fitted to the current 2.0 TSI range. Unlike the standard valve's plastic construction, they are machined from aircraft grade aluminium, and bolt straight up to the factory location, offering all the technology from Turbosmart's race-bred BOV range in an OEM-replacement package. The Dual Port offers a 50/50 split between recirculating and vent-to-atmosphere, for quiet operation at low boost, and the high performance sound associated with vent-to-atmosphere BOVs at higher boost. With the exhaust system flowing better performance gains be achieved. Turbo lag should also be reduced as an added benefit.
