It packs a very large intercooler core into the space available, a full 54% larger than the OEM core. One of the most common failures on the 2.0T FSI engine is the factory pressure-relief valve. These valves are in place to recirculate crankcase gases into the intake manifold once they open. Although this works fine for a few thousand miles, they begin to leak over time and cause boost to go past the valve into the valve cover. This not only causes an oily mess in the engine bay from crankcase pressure, but a rough idle, fuel economy decline and boost loss. With boost pressure far below where it should be, it is common to notice significant power losses and poor drivability.

CTS Turbo is proud to release our B-Cool Billet Oil Filter Housing. The OE plastic filter housing is quite fragile and is know to become brittle and crack over time. Each CTS Turbo B-Cool Billet Oil Filter Housing is constructed in house from T6061 Aluminum. Not only does the B-Cool filter look good, but it works great. We have engineered cooling fins into our design to act as a heatsink, which dissipates heat from the engine oil.
Installation is very straight forward and only required basic hand tools:
Drain oil from filter housing, use a 36mm socket to remove the factory oil filter housing, install new filter, install new filter housing o-ring to CTS housing, reinstall on the car and tighted to 18 ft/lbs, refill engine oil.
