PERFORMANCE TESTING
No part of this intake design is by accident, every inch is engineered and tested for performance first. Countless revisions undergo dyno testing, flow bench, and real-world use to maximize potential. As a result of this testing, the massive air filter, built-in velocity stack, large internal volume, ram air inlet, and bottom plate louvers ensure the intake supplies more than enough airflow across the entire powerband for any ECU tune or turbo setup.
CARBON FIBER - MORE THAN STYLE POINTS
In order to maximize airflow, a large internal volume is required to support the necessary amount of flow for the engine. Carbon fiber construction allows our engineers to create complex shapes and angles that just can not be achieved with sheet metal bends. The bellmouth shape creates a very high inertia flow from the massive filter with very low drag or power-robbing turbulence.
MULTIPLE PRESSURE ZONES
Engineered to support any power level, the intake takes advantage of multiple air supply avenues. The front large air inlet receives outside high-pressure flow from the front of the grille and acts as a ram air design for the majority of the air supply. Additionally, the bottom plate louvers pull extra required air as needed from the low-pressure zone under the intake. These dual zones provide an unrestricted supply of air across the entire filter and ensure your intake will never be a power limiter for even the most extreme builds.

To ensure a perfect fit, 3D scanning tools are used to create a digital duplicate of the vehicle's engine bay, grille, bumper, and hood. IE Harsh Climate 5" Oiled Air Filter & Sock Upgrade Kit

Upgrading your IE 5" velocity stack intake with our harsh climate filter kit will further keep your engine safe when traveling on dirt roads, sandy beaches, or anywhere with dusty contaminants in the air.
KIT DETAILS
This complete filter kit uses a 3 step approach to combat harsh climates. The filter has been increased from a 6 pleat construction to 8 pleats to increase cotton density. The cotton pleats are then treated with a penetrating filter oil to further catch and trap particulates. As a final measure, a pre-filter sock adds a final layer of protection over the filter. Together, these 3 barriers offer superior filtration for your intake system over our standard performance air filter.

RECHARGING
As the air filter does its job of effectively catching more particulates, eventually it will have to be cleaned and maintained. We recommend washing your cotton filter in water with a little Dawn dish soap, rinsing thoroughly, and allowing it to completely air dry. To replace the oil, any off-the-shelf filter oil kit from your local auto parts supply chain can be used. Do not over-oil the filter, a little goes a long way.
