IE’s Audi S4 (DL501 S-Tronic) DSG tune is all-inclusive and does not offer expensive upgrades. That’s right, there are no unnecessary upgrade charges and all features and upgrades are included at one low cost. A great deal of sportiness is added to the tune while maintaining factory smoothness and driveability that you love about the S4. More aggressive launches and faster shifts are guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Also, expect acceleration and 0-60 times to improve dramatically from a larger useable powerband provided by the higher shift points. REQUIRED FOR SELECT ECU TUNES Required for S4 & S5 Stage 2 dual pulley files, your new transmission tune will no longer lug the engine in drive mode or short shift the larger powerband. DRIVE MAPPING REWORKED The B8 and B8.5 S4 is designed to a fault to keep engine rpm extremely low in drive. We completely reworked this, creating a more enthusiast-friendly drive mapping which shifts a bit higher. This eliminates vibration and that constant feeling that you’re lugging the engine. We’ve reworked the downshifting aspect as well, making the transmission much quicker to deliver power when you need it. Thousands of miles of testing were accumulated and a variety of users were polled to come up with this improved drive mode. INCREASED CLUTCH PRESSURE Increasing the clutch pressure allows for the transmission to hold more torque without causing clutch damage or expedited wear. With the increased torque, the acceleration will be greatly increased and launches will far more aggressive. FLASHED THROUGH OBD-II PORT There’s no need to remove the TCU from the car and it can be flashed in your driveway or through an IE software dealer. Feed your 2.0T TSI GTI, Jetta, GLI, CC, or A3 with a supply of cold air with this direct-fit high-flow cold air intake kit. This intake features a generously-sized inlet pipe that connects to the OE mass air flow (MAF) sensor. The MAF sensor receives high-velocity air fed directly from a 5" bellmouth. Our high-flow bellmouth is neatly housed in a heat shield, which separates the air filter from the hot under-hood air, allowing only cold air to be drawn into the turbo inlet directly from the front of the car.

STOCK-LIKE DIRECT FIT

This air intake kit provides all the necessary piping and couplers to plumb the intake system from the turbo to the MAF and then to the heat shield. The heat shield installs using the OE grommets for easy maintenance and reliable mounting with no rubbing or interference with other factory parts.

HIGH-FLOW VELOCITY STACK

The air intake utilizes a high-flow bellmouth behind the air filter to deliver as much air as possible. This bellmouth design increases the air velocity to the MAF and pulls cold air equally from all directions into the filter. This bellmouth is securely fastened to the heat shield as a clean pass-through providing a solid mount for the air filter and turbo inlet pipe. You have no worry about the intake pipe moving around and causing damage unlike other intake kits on the market, which simply clamp the filter onto the end of the inlet pipe or MAF. Furthermore, the bellmouth opening allows for a filter with a very large surface area that can support any horsepower goal. The same filter and bellmouth design have been tested to support over 500HP!

THERMAL BLOCKING HEAT SHIELD

The IE heat shield is designed to create a thermal barrier blocking all of the radiant heat from the engine bay. Only cold air from the front of the vehicle is drawn into the filter from the opening in the radiator support keeping air intake temperatures as cold as possible. This allows factory placement of the intake to be used without placing the filter lower in the vehicle where it can be subjected to engine harming road debris or fluid.

DO YOU NEED AN SAI KIT?

The MK5/MK6 2.0T TSI engine has two different engine codes. CBFA engine codes are equipped from the factory with a secondary air injection (SAI) pump that connects to the factory intake box. These engines require a small breather filter for this SAI line when installing an aftermarket intake. CCTA engine codes do not have this SAI pump and will not require this filter. Identify your engine code using the photos below, and add an SAI filter kit above if needed when ordering your intake.

IE billet aluminum valve covers for the 2.0T FSI EA113 (timing belt driven) engines are a direct replacement for your factory valve cover for a clean updated look over the stock plastic valve cover. Designed as a perfect solution for a show-ready look or the base for your custom catch can project.

MACHINED DESIGN

Machined in-house from a solid block of aircraft grade aluminum for an attractive one piece design with a matching oil filler cap to finish off the look. The IE billet valve cover is machined to accept the factory valve cover gasket, so there is no worry of oil leaks.

FOR USE WITH CUSTOM CATCH CAN SETUPS ONLY

This valve cover design completely removes the factory PCV breather setup and will require a custom catch can kit or breather setup. IE complete catch can kits for the billet valve cover are available separately for select models (located in required hardware tab). To make setting up a custom breather or catch can kit easy, this valve cover features a single -10an breather outlet providing a simple start for a variety of fittings or hose ends. The breather outlet is located above an integrated baffle system to reduce oil escaping the breather outlet. These baffles are hand welded into the valve cover, ensuring they will not fail or fall into the cylinder head.

The factory plastic valve cover has an integrated evap line crossing through the center of the valve cover. The IE billet valve cover does not have this vacuum line running through the center, and requires The IE Evap Crossover Tube Relocation Kit. CATCH CAN KIT FOR BILLET VALVE COVER

The IE billet valve cover replaces the factory breather setup for a single -10AN breather outlet requiring you to run a custom catch can kit setup. IE has taken the leg work out of piecing together a catch can kit for transverse mounted 2.0T FSI engines commonly found in VW MK6 Golf R, MK5 GTI, Jetta, GLI and Audi MK2 TT, TTS, and A3 among others. *This billet valve cover will only work on early model 2.0T EA113 engines. You can verify your the correct engine if it is in the above chassis and is driven by a timing belt. If your engine is driven by a timing chain, you have an EA888 Gen1/Gen2 TSI engine and is not compatible with billet valve covers.

KIT DETAILS

This complete filter kit uses a 3 step approach to combat harsh climates. The filter has been increased from a 6 pleat construction to 8 pleats to increase cotton density. The cotton pleats are then treated with a penetrating filter oil to further catch and trap particulates. As a final measure, a pre-filter sock adds a final layer of protection over the filter. Together, these 3 barriers offer superior filtration for your intake system over our standard performance air filter.

RECHARGING

As the air filter does its job of effectively catching more particulates, eventually it will have to be cleaned and maintained. We recommend washing your cotton filter in water with a little Dawn dish soap, rinsing thoroughly, and allowing it to completely air dry. To replace the oil, any off-the-shelf filter oil kit from your local auto parts supply chain can be used. Do not over-oil the filter, a little goes a long way.
