This set of 4 red top ignition coil packs uses the same coil design fitted to the Audi R8. They put out a stronger spark than the factory coil, which helps reduce misfire on performance-upgraded and tuned VAG vehicles. Aftermarket, non-stamped coils. Straightforward install

A direct swap for the factory coil in the same position. No VCDS or OBDeleven coding needed. Most owners fit these themselves.

Installation Notes

  1. 1Disconnect the battery negative terminal before starting.
  2. 2Remove the engine cover if fitted, then unclip the factory coil from each ignition point.
  3. 3Fit the new coil in the same position, reconnect the battery, and clear any stored fault codes.

No. These coil packs are an aftermarket replacement option and are supplied exactly as shown in the product images. They are not Eldor stamped genuine Audi coils. Genuine Eldor stamped coils are generally available through Audi dealers at a higher price. These are offered as a reliable, cost-effective alternative for suitable daily and performance applications.
How can I confirm these are suitable for my vehicle?

Are these suitable for MK7 GTI, Golf R, RS3 8V or S3 8V models?
No. These models use MQB / Gen 3 EA888 engine platforms and require a different ignition coil. Please use our MQB Coil Pack listing instead.
What warranty coverage is provided?
These coil packs are supplied with a 12 month warranty from the date of delivery, covering manufacturing defects. To assess a warranty claim, we may require a professional workshop diagnosis or scan confirming the affected cylinder. Warranty coverage does not apply to incorrect installation, modifications, unrelated vehicle faults, misuse, or normal wear and tear.
