Not compatible with the VW Polo 6C

Adding a reverse camera
The AV camera adapter is included in the box, but the camera itself is sold separately. Our
Genuine VW Flip Badge Reverse Camera plugs straight in, no converter required.
Already have a factory camera? Older factory cameras use a 26-pin RGB plug, which this radio does not accept. Aftermarket RGBS to AV converters exist, but we do not recommend them: the image quality is noticeably worse. The better result is to replace the camera with the Genuine VW AV camera above.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this compatible with the Polo 6C?
No. This radio fits the Polo 6R only. The 6C uses a different radio aperture and a different trim piece, so the unit will not fit.
Not sure which one you have? Three ways to tell:

The radio surround. The 6C has a different radio aperture with an extra row of buttons. The 6R's is plainer.

The air vents. On the 6R, the vent frames carry icons. On the 6C, they do not.

Any genuine part number. Parts on a 6R carry a 6R prefix (6R0, 6R1, 6R2, 6RU). Parts on a 6C carry a 6C prefix (6C0, 6C1, 6C2).

I have an MK5 GTI. Do I need a steering wheel adapter harness?
Will this work with a wireless CarPlay or Android Auto adapter?
Yes. The radio has a USB port for wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and it also works with a third party wireless adapter plugged into that port.
Will the included AV camera adapter work with an RCD510, RNS510 or RNS315 radio?
No. The included camera adapter only works with radios that support an AV signal, not the 26-pin RGB plug. Aftermarket RGBS to AV converters exist, but we do not recommend them: the image quality is noticeably worse than a genuine AV camera. If your car has an older 26-pin RGB camera, replacing it with the
Genuine VW AV camera gives a much better result. The adapter is included in the box; the camera itself is sold separately.
My car was built before 2008. Is there anything else I need?
Is this a difficult install? Do you have a fitting guide?
The radio itself is a direct quadlock fit, so no cutting or splicing is needed on supported vehicles. The work is in getting the factory unit out: the surrounding trim needs to come off to reach the mounting screws, and the process differs between the MK5, MK6, Tiguan, Passat and T5.
If you are comfortable removing interior trim it is a straightforward job. If you would rather not, any auto electrician can fit it in under an hour.
How do I know I am buying a Genuine VW radio?
A genuine unit carries the "VW" logo on the sticker. There are a lot of copies on the market at similar prices. Our
