PLEASE NOTE: This camera is not compatible with the newer RCD330 / RCD340, Discover Media or Composition Media radios (these use a different, non-RGB camera input), and is not compatible with aftermarket radios (Pioneer, Sony, Kenwood, Alpine, etc.).
How do I know if my RCD510 is the right revision?
Check the back of your radio for a 26-pin connector with a yellow surround, as shown below. If your RCD510, RNS510 or RNS315 has this connector, this camera is compatible.

Please note: professional installation is recommended. Fitting this kit involves running cable through the trunk pillar and, on most vehicles, requires removal of door sills and interior trim panels to route the wiring to the head unit. Activating the camera also requires VCDS/VAS or OBD11 coding once wired in, so it can be set to switch on automatically when the car is put into reverse.

What is included in this kit?
The Genuine VW RGB reverse camera and wiring harness for the 26-pin camera input.
Will this camera work with an RCD330, RCD340 or Discover Media radio?
No. Those radios use a different, non-RGB camera input and need our separate composite (AV) output camera instead. This kit is for the 26-pin RGB input on RCD510, RNS510 and RNS315 only.
Does fitting this camera require any coding?
Yes, VCDS/VAS or OBD11 coding is required after installation so the head unit knows to switch to the camera view in reverse.
Do I need to remove interior trim to fit this?
Most vehicles need the door sills and some interior panels removed to run the cable from the boot to the head unit, which is why we recommend professional installation.
