The Volkswagen Golf R (Mk7.5) and the other Golf series (GTis and Golf Rs) has been one of the most popular hatchbacks in the car community. The famous EA888 engine is now at its 3rd generation, with its 2.0L turbo-charged engine, it continues to be a car with great tuning potential. The iPE Exhaust system is designed and engineered to enhance gas flow and maximize performance gain by 23HP and 39.2 Nm of torque. Highlighting the angry sound from the EA888 Gen3. This iPE exhaust system is handcrafted with T304 Stainless Steel to reduce weight by 13%(-4.0kg).

With the exhaust system flowing better performance gains be achieved. Turbo lag should also be reduced as an added benefit. SOUND TUNING An aggressive and drone-free sound will be emitted from the IE Cast Downpipe. This should be music to your ears! Thick wall tubing and cast sections remove much of “tinny” sound emitted by cheaper, thin wall, downpipes. With downpipes, you get what you pay for in terms of sounds and overall manufacturing quality. HIGH-FLOW CATALYTIC CONVERTER IE’s performance downpipe includes a high-flow 200 cell per inch metal matrix catalyst located as close to the turbo as possible. Metal matrix catalysts are higher performance because the matrix web is thinner, allowing higher flow in the same size. Our catalyst is also a very large diameter, allowing a large flow area and maximum power. By being placed close to the turbo, emissions and unwanted unpleasant smells are greatly reduced. DIRECT BOLT-ON WITH PERFECT FITMENT The IE downpipe replaces over 6 feet of restrictive factory exhaust tubing, all the way back to the OE “Cat-Back” rear section. DRIVE MAPPING REWORKED The MQB 2.0 TSI DSG is designed to a fault to keep engine rpm extremely low in drive. We completely reworked this, creating a more enthusiast-friendly drive mapping which shifts a bit higher. This eliminates vibration and that constant feeling that you’re lugging the engine. We’ve reworked the downshifting aspect as well, making the transmission much quicker to deliver power when you need it. Thousands of miles of testing were accumulated and a variety of users were polled to come up with this improved drive mode. INCREASED CLUTCH PRESSURE Increasing the clutch pressure allows for the transmission to hold more torque without causing clutch damage or expedited wear. With the increased torque, the acceleration will be greatly increased and launches will far more aggressive. FLASHED THROUGH OBD-II PORT There’s no need to remove the TCU from the car and it can be flashed in your driveway or through an IE software dealer. Additionally, having an IE PowerLink cables means you can install updates are they become available as well as read TCU and ECU fault codes. TAKE-OFF LAG REDUCED The clutch engagement has been reworked to reduce that annoying “DSG Lag” when moving away from a stop. iPE will not be held responsible for any damages to the vehicle, and warranties on our products will be voided if the damages occurred due to improper installation.If you have any trouble installing the system please contact your authorized dealer!

The manufacturer, importer or dealer shall not be liable for any incidental damage including personal injury or any other damages caused by improper installation or operation of the iPE exhaust system. When installing the iPE exhaust system be careful that the exhaust system does not touch other parts sensitive to high temperature.



3. iPE makes no representation or warranties with regard to damage caused by the improper installation, use and maintenance of the iPE exhaust system. The warranty is limited to defects recognized by our technical department and of normal use only, and excludes items subject to normal wear and tear(gaskets and damping wool). The warranty is voided in case of accidents, modifications, improper or competition uses.

When you begin modifying your VW MK7/Audi MK3 Golf R, GTI, A3, or S3 it will become necessary to upgrade the intercooler. Once upgrades such as ECU tuning, exhaust systems, and turbo upgrades are introduced, intake air temperatures begin to rise, resulting in massive power loss.
