    MODULAR DESIGN


    At the base of our intake is an alloy heat shield that spans the entire front of the car for maximum fresh air flow, seals off hot engine bay air, and securely holds the velocity stack and air filter. The modular design allows for an optional carbon fiber lid to be installed further sealing off the intake from radiant engine heat and provides a high-end gloss carbon finish to your engine bay.

This digital environment ensures the intake clears and fits exactly like a factory-installed unit.     FULLY INCLUSIVE KIT


    Everything needed to install your new IE intake is included without having to make any trips to the hardware store or purchase additional add-on kits. Included is our stealth coolant line, which completely hides under the intake and out of view. This protects the coolant line from interfering or rubbing on anything that may lead to future coolant leaks. For vehicles equipped with secondary air injection (SAI) the IE intake is equipped to connect to the factory line without having to purchase an additional kit. Don’t have SAI? No worries, a plug is also included.

    Feed your 2.0T TSI GTI, Jetta, GLI, CC, or A3 with a supply of cold air with this direct-fit high-flow cold air intake kit. This intake features a generously-sized inlet pipe that connects to the OE mass air flow (MAF) sensor. The MAF sensor receives high-velocity air fed directly from a 5" bellmouth. Our high-flow bellmouth is neatly housed in a heat shield, which separates the air filter from the hot under-hood air, allowing only cold air to be drawn into the turbo inlet directly from the front of the car.

    STOCK-LIKE DIRECT FIT

    This air intake kit provides all the necessary piping and couplers to plumb the intake system from the turbo to the MAF and then to the heat shield. The heat shield installs using the OE grommets for easy maintenance and reliable mounting with no rubbing or interference with other factory parts.

    HIGH-FLOW VELOCITY STACK

    The air intake utilizes a high-flow bellmouth behind the air filter to deliver as much air as possible. This bellmouth design increases the air velocity to the MAF and pulls cold air equally from all directions into the filter. This bellmouth is securely fastened to the heat shield as a clean pass-through providing a solid mount for the air filter and turbo inlet pipe. You have no worry about the intake pipe moving around and causing damage unlike other intake kits on the market, which simply clamp the filter onto the end of the inlet pipe or MAF. Furthermore, the bellmouth opening allows for a filter with a very large surface area that can support any horsepower goal. The same filter and bellmouth design have been tested to support over 500HP!

    THERMAL BLOCKING HEAT SHIELD

    The IE heat shield is designed to create a thermal barrier blocking all of the radiant heat from the engine bay. Only cold air from the front of the vehicle is drawn into the filter from the opening in the radiator support keeping air intake temperatures as cold as possible. This allows factory placement of the intake to be used without placing the filter lower in the vehicle where it can be subjected to engine harming road debris or fluid.

    DO YOU NEED AN SAI KIT?

    The MK5/MK6 2.0T TSI engine has two different engine codes. CBFA engine codes are equipped from the factory with a secondary air injection (SAI) pump that connects to the factory intake box. These engines require a small breather filter for this SAI line when installing an aftermarket intake. CCTA engine codes do not have this SAI pump and will not require this filter. Identify your engine code using the photos below, and add an SAI filter kit above if needed when ordering your intake.

The IE DSG Tune for the MK6 2.0T TSI has been carefully set up to make the car way more fun to drive. It completely reworks the shift point mapping in both drive and sport. The transmission will no longer lug the engine in drive mode. Clutch clamping forces are increased so the transmission can safely handle much more power. Shifts are much, much faster taking time directly off the 0-60 and ¼ mile times. ONE TUNE FOR ALL STAGES IE’s TCU/DSG tune is all-inclusive and does not offer expensive upgrades. That’s right, there are no unnecessary upgrade charges and all features are included from the outset. A great deal of sportiness is added from the tune while maintaining factory smoothness and driveability. More aggressive launches and faster shifts are guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Also, expect acceleration and 0-60 times to improve from faster shifting. DSG tune requires a matching ECU Tune, do not install on stock ECU tunes. We’ve reworked the downshifting aspect as well, making the transmission much quicker to deliver power when you need it. Thousands of miles of testing were accumulated and a variety of users were polled to come up with this improved drive mode. INCREASED CLUTCH PRESSURE Increasing the clutch pressure allows for the transmission to hold more torque without causing clutch damage or expedited wear. With the increased torque, the acceleration will be greatly increased and launches will far more aggressive. FLASHED THROUGH OBD-II PORT There’s no need to remove the TCU from the car and it can be flashed in your driveway or through an IE software dealer. Additionally, having an IE PowerLink cables means you can install updates are they become available as well as read TCU and ECU fault codes.     Eliminate unnecessary play in your shifter with these billet shift cable end bushings. These two piece bushings are CNC machined in-house from 6061 aircraft aluminum with a special bronze inner bushing. They directly replace the rubber factory cable bushings that deteriorate over time causing excessive play in the shifter. When the factory bushings are worn out, shifts become less precise, causing you to miss shifts. Not only will you be missing shifts but, by not fully engaging gears in the transmission, you can even strip the teeth right off the gears. Includes a total of four bushings.
