IE cone filters are specifically designed for high-flow and perfect fitment to the integrated velocity stack found on most IE cold air intake kits. This is a dry filter that can be oiled, however, we do not recommend air filter oiling on turbocharged or forced induction vehicles. The filter can be cleaned and re-used many times. Equipping your MK5 or MK6 2.0T engine with an IE catted downpipe delivers additional horsepower, torque, and responsiveness when coupled with a matching Stage 2 or K04 turbo upgrade ECU tune. These significant power gains are added through the entire RPM band by allowing the turbocharger to flow freely through the 3" downpipe, high-flow catalytic converter, and mid-pipe. Careful tuning of the added sound from freeing up exhaust flow rewards you with an aggressive exhaust growl every time you touch the accelerator while minimizing cabin drone.
All IE exhaust systems are designed in-house using state of the art digital scanning for a perfect fit and manufactured from 1.5mm thick wall 304 stainless steel offering a lifetime of performance and fun.
SOUND TUNING:
Give your car an aggressive motorsport sound that will keep you addicted to the throttle pedal without annoying exhaust drone. Engineered with thick-wall tubing and precise bends the downpipe opens up an unrestricted exhaust with a tuned sound without the "tinny" drone common on cheap catless downpipe options.
HIGH-FLOW CATALYTIC CONVERTER (CAT):
IE's performance downpipe for the MK5 & MK6 2.0T engines include a high-flow 200 cell per inch metal matrix catalyst (CAT) on the mid pipe section. This included CAT greatly reduces emissions output and unwanted offensive smells common on all catless systems, without losing horsepower! Have all the benefits of catless performance and none of the drawbacks with the IE high-flow CAT system
BOLT-ON INSTALLATION:
The IE downpipe replaces the majority of the factory exhaust from the turbocharger all the way back to the factory rear exhaust just before the axles. The 16mm turbo flange bolts to the stock or a K04 turbocharger. The downpipe section includes a new mount bracket and utilizes the factory mount points along with a tough interlock core flex section, this allows engine and chassis movement without stressing or cracking your downpipe. Easily connect the downpipe and catted mid-pipe using the simple and strong v-band connection. Finally, the mid pipe mounts to the stock rear exhaust with the included 3" to 60mm slip-fit sleeve, or easily adapt it to your cat-back exhaust of choice. In-house digitally scanned and designed for an exact fit and includes all hardware to make the install easy and straight forward.

Feed your 2.0T TSI GTI, Jetta, GLI, CC, or A3 with a supply of cold air with this direct-fit high-flow cold air intake kit. This intake features a generously-sized inlet pipe that connects to the OE mass air flow (MAF) sensor. The MAF sensor receives high-velocity air fed directly from a 5" bellmouth. Our high-flow bellmouth is neatly housed in a heat shield, which separates the air filter from the hot under-hood air, allowing only cold air to be drawn into the turbo inlet directly from the front of the car.
STOCK-LIKE DIRECT FIT
This air intake kit provides all the necessary piping and couplers to plumb the intake system from the turbo to the MAF and then to the heat shield. The heat shield installs using the OE grommets for easy maintenance and reliable mounting with no rubbing or interference with other factory parts.
HIGH-FLOW VELOCITY STACK
The air intake utilizes a high-flow bellmouth behind the air filter to deliver as much air as possible. This bellmouth design increases the air velocity to the MAF and pulls cold air equally from all directions into the filter. This bellmouth is securely fastened to the heat shield as a clean pass-through providing a solid mount for the air filter and turbo inlet pipe. You have no worry about the intake pipe moving around and causing damage unlike other intake kits on the market, which simply clamp the filter onto the end of the inlet pipe or MAF. Furthermore, the bellmouth opening allows for a filter with a very large surface area that can support any horsepower goal. The same filter and bellmouth design have been tested to support over 500HP!
THERMAL BLOCKING HEAT SHIELD
The IE heat shield is designed to create a thermal barrier blocking all of the radiant heat from the engine bay. Only cold air from the front of the vehicle is drawn into the filter from the opening in the radiator support keeping air intake temperatures as cold as possible. This allows factory placement of the intake to be used without placing the filter lower in the vehicle where it can be subjected to engine harming road debris or fluid.
DO YOU NEED AN SAI KIT?
The MK5/MK6 2.0T TSI engine has two different engine codes. CBFA engine codes are equipped from the factory with a secondary air injection (SAI) pump that connects to the factory intake box. These engines require a small breather filter for this SAI line when installing an aftermarket intake. CCTA engine codes do not have this SAI pump and will not require this filter. Identify your engine code using the photos below, and add an SAI filter kit above if needed when ordering your intake.

With the exhaust system flowing better performance gains be achieved. Turbo lag should also be reduced as an added benefit. Digital scanning is using to scan the entire environment which ensures that there is proper clearance and that all mounting points are in the correct location. Thick wall tubing and cast sections remove much of “tinny” sound emitted by cheaper, thin wall, downpipes. IS YOUR STOCK INLET ROBBING POWER?
The factory installed plastic turbo inlet found installed on your VW or Audi Gen 3 1.8T or 2.0T TSI engine is adequate enough for stock cars with factory hardware and ECU calibrations. However, the necked down design becomes a major flow restriction when ran with power upgrades such as cold air intakes, intercoolers, downpipes, and ECU upgrades.

The IE Turbo Inlet Pipe helps you to get the most out of your IS38 or IS20 turbo and power upgrades by removing the factory flow restriction. The cast aluminum design allows for a constant diameter elbow increasing efficiency from the intake to the turbo without the bottleneck design of the factory unit.

PERFORMANCE TESTING
No part of this intake design is by accident, every inch is engineered and tested for performance first. Countless revisions undergo dyno testing, flow bench, and real-world use to maximize potential. As a result of this testing, the massive air filter, built-in velocity stack, large internal volume, ram air inlet, and bottom plate louvers ensure the intake supplies more than enough airflow across the entire powerband for any ECU tune or turbo setup.
CARBON FIBER - MORE THAN STYLE POINTS
In order to maximize airflow, a large internal volume is required to support the necessary amount of flow for the engine. Carbon fiber construction allows our engineers to create complex shapes and angles that just can not be achieved with sheet metal bends. This design style utilizes every millimeter available in oddly shaped modern engine bays for a very large air supply and smooth delivery. The finished product results in a performance design with a stylized high-end look for your engine bay.
UNIQUE SOUND
You drive a flagship S model Audi with a 6 cylinder turbocharged engine -make it sound like one!
The factory intake kills any and all engine sound to meet requirements for everything but fun. By upgrading to an IE intake system, you are taking full advantage of a performance design including the turbocharger spool, engine throttle, and diverter valve sounds that come along with it. The unique velocity stack and bottom louver design create a tuned engine note that sounds classy, yet powerful at the same time. This level of sound is not heard through other brand closed box intakes and is a much more refined sound than found with open element style intakes. Get ready to sing the song of power!
SEAMLESS DESIGN
The only fully carbon 1-piece intake design on the market offers more than a fantastic look alone. This reduces the chances of air leaks from an airbox/air duct joint, finicky installs, rubbing noises, or parts working loose over time while also providing an easier install. Furthermore, this is a complete all-inclusive intake system that does not require any additional parts sold separately to complete the intake.
EASY INSTALLATION
This Intake fits Audi B9 S4 & S5 3.0T V6 Turbocharged engines without any modification or installation hassles. The install process is simple and can be done quickly with basic tools. The airbox utilizes factory-style mounts that ensure a perfect fit and allow for natural engine movement which keeps intake components from getting damaged.
HIGH-FLOW VELOCITY STACK
By incorporating a professional motorsport style velocity stack into the airbox design, airflow is channeled from the large internal airbox volume into the turbocharger as quickly as possible. The bellmouth shape creates a very high inertia flow from the massive filter with very low drag or power-robbing turbulence.
MULTIPLE PRESSURE ZONES
Engineered to support any power level, the intake takes advantage of multiple air supply avenues. The front large air inlet receives outside high-pressure flow from the front of the grille and acts as a ram air design for the majority of the air supply. Additionally, the bottom plate louvers pull extra required air as needed from the low-pressure zone under the intake. These dual zones provide an unrestricted supply of air across the entire filter and ensure your intake will never be a power limiter for even the most extreme builds.
PRECISION FIT
To ensure a perfect fit, 3D scanning tools are used to create a digital duplicate of the vehicle's engine bay, grille, bumper, and hood. This provides an incredibly high-resolution environment to reverse engineer and prototype the intake design. This not only allow engineers to take advantage of all available room but also results in a perfect and extremely high-end install.
