IE billet aluminum valve covers for the 2.0T FSI EA113 (timing belt driven) engines are a direct replacement for your factory valve cover for a clean updated look over the stock plastic valve cover. Designed as a perfect solution for a show-ready look or the base for your custom catch can project.

MACHINED DESIGN

Machined in-house from a solid block of aircraft grade aluminum for an attractive one piece design with a matching oil filler cap to finish off the look. The IE billet valve cover is machined to accept the factory valve cover gasket, so there is no worry of oil leaks.

FOR USE WITH CUSTOM CATCH CAN SETUPS ONLY

This valve cover design completely removes the factory PCV breather setup and will require a custom catch can kit or breather setup. IE complete catch can kits for the billet valve cover are available separately for select models (located in required hardware tab). To make setting up a custom breather or catch can kit easy, this valve cover features a single -10an breather outlet providing a simple start for a variety of fittings or hose ends. The breather outlet is located above an integrated baffle system to reduce oil escaping the breather outlet. These baffles are hand welded into the valve cover, ensuring they will not fail or fall into the cylinder head.

The factory plastic valve cover has an integrated evap line crossing through the center of the valve cover. The IE billet valve cover does not have this vacuum line running through the center, and requires The IE Evap Crossover Tube Relocation Kit. CATCH CAN KIT FOR BILLET VALVE COVER

The IE billet valve cover replaces the factory breather setup for a single -10AN breather outlet requiring you to run a custom catch can kit setup. IE has taken the leg work out of piecing together a catch can kit for transverse mounted 2.0T FSI engines commonly found in VW MK6 Golf R, MK5 GTI, Jetta, GLI and Audi MK2 TT, TTS, and A3 among others. *This billet valve cover will only work on early model 2.0T EA113 engines. You can verify your the correct engine if it is in the above chassis and is driven by a timing belt. If your engine is driven by a timing chain, you have an EA888 Gen1/Gen2 TSI engine and is not compatible with billet valve covers.

The IE DSG Tune for the MK6 2.0T TSI has been carefully set up to make the car way more fun to drive. It completely reworks the shift point mapping in both drive and sport. The transmission will no longer lug the engine in drive mode. Clutch clamping forces are increased so the transmission can safely handle much more power. Shifts are much, much faster taking time directly off the 0-60 and ¼ mile times. ONE TUNE FOR ALL STAGES IE’s TCU/DSG tune is all-inclusive and does not offer expensive upgrades. That’s right, there are no unnecessary upgrade charges and all features are included from the outset. A great deal of sportiness is added from the tune while maintaining factory smoothness and driveability. More aggressive launches and faster shifts are guaranteed to put a smile on your face. DRIVE MAPPING REWORKED The MK6 2.0 TSI DSG is designed to a fault to keep engine rpm extremely low in drive. We completely reworked this, creating a more enthusiast-friendly drive mapping which shifts a bit higher. This eliminates vibration and that constant feeling that you’re lugging the engine. We’ve reworked the downshifting aspect as well, making the transmission much quicker to deliver power when you need it. Thousands of miles of testing were accumulated and a variety of users were polled to come up with this improved drive mode. INCREASED CLUTCH PRESSURE Increasing the clutch pressure allows for the transmission to hold more torque without causing clutch damage or expedited wear. With the increased torque, the acceleration will be greatly increased and launches will far more aggressive. FLASHED THROUGH OBD-II PORT There’s no need to remove the TCU from the car and it can be flashed in your driveway or through an IE software dealer. Additionally, having an IE PowerLink cables means you can install updates are they become available as well as read TCU and ECU fault codes. TAKE-OFF LAG REDUCED The clutch engagement has been reworked to reduce that annoying “DSG Lag” when moving away from a stop. VW has encountered a problem with the FSI camshaft and cam follower that could lead to damage to your engine's cylinder head.

This small part can play quite a big role in your engine's well-being. It conveys the movement of your camshaft into power for the high pressure fuel pump by riding directly on the camshaft lobe.

 If it becomes worn to the point of breaking it can cause permanent damage to the camshaft, fuel pump, or both. It could also send metal particles into your cylinder head which can cause damage to moving parts. Without replacement, it is common for followers to have holes worn through them.

Replacing this follower as a form of preventative maintenance can save you from spending even more money and time replacing your fuel pump or camshaft from damage caused by a worn follower.

When you begin modifying your VW MK7/Audi MK3 Golf R, GTI, A3, or S3 it will become necessary to upgrade the intercooler. Once upgrades such as ECU tuning, exhaust systems, and turbo upgrades are introduced, intake air temperatures begin to rise, resulting in massive power loss.
